In general I think the author did a good job with staying consistent to the form. The sentence structure was also different from what I was use to. Despite all my doubts, the author was absolutely and completely successful in making me believe I was reading through the male perspective. When I first started reading this book I was surprised to see it written in the 1st person PoV of the male lead character Brock. If you need a break from reading about stupid and needy female characters, then this book is definitely for you. Some of his reactions to the lead female character Celeste were really funny.Ĭeleste is portrayed as a strong, independent, resourceful, and smart young women. Plus, I just really liked this character. I loved all of Brock’s (the male lead character) inner-dialogue and thoughts. People who love YA novels with fantasy, action, and romance.
